I always have a regular menses every 28 days, well i am late this month and i finally started my period today, but it is not normal the color is orangish. I did take a pregnancy test but it came up negative. But my question is i have hypothyroidism and i am on medication but still my hormone levels are still low can that affect the pregnancy test and why is this mense orange should i be worried
The pregnancy test is based only on particular sex hormones. Thus, thyroid hormones can not affect the results of the pregnancy test.
The blood might turn a little orange if bilirubin (a product of the metabolism of the hemoglobin) is increased in the bloodstream. You might want to have laboratory tests for bilirubin levels in the blood, as well as liver laboratory tests.
