Well.. my period is now going on 2 weeks late. I took a pregnancy test a few days after it was supposed to come, and then again at 7 days after it was supposed to have come. Both were negative?

Background History: my husband and I have not used any birth control since we met. He had had a vasectomy MANY years ago, and then had it reversed 2 years into our relationship as we wanted a family. Well... that was several years ago and after trying everything after that (IVF/ICSI), we accepted the fact that it was just not going to happen for us and time was winding down for me. The Fertility docs suggested we buy embryos or buy eggs or have a sperm donor, etc...and they were very vague on why we had failed. The one doc did tell my hubby that his chances for fertility were only about 40% after his vasectomy reversal.

Of note, my period is like clockwork with it being early or late at the most 2 days.

So... we just didn't see any reason to use any form of birth control because the odds were against us and we are actually in the process of adoption.

My last period was very odd in the sense that I usually get premenstrual aura with tender swollen breasts a week before my period arrives, then this disappears when my period arrives. My last period, my breasts were tender and swollen only 1 day before my period, and remained tender and swollen through my period and for over a week afterward... odd for me.... and now as mentioned, my period is going on 2 weeks late. I will take another pregnancy test at the 2 week mark.

Meanwhile, anybody got any ideas?? ?
