Last day of my most recent period was july 16, 2011. I had some light brown spotting on Aug 1 to the 3 but only when I whiped. Now my period is late and I have had 3 negative pregnancy test and had pink bleeding after sex last night (I thought it was finally my period starting) it wasn't. I am usually pretty regular and have never missed a period before unless I was pregnant. I don't feel pregnant either. I am not sure what is going on. I am 33 years old. Can anyone help answer?
Welcome to ehealthforum,
The light bleeding in August could be indicative of possibility f implantation bleeding if you had been sexually active after last periods. The appearance of symptoms depends on how your body reacts to the changing hormonal status. It is not necessary that all women should experience symptoms suggestive of early pregnancy. Few women can experience symptoms as early as 24 hours after fruitful intercourse. Few women can experience few symptoms after having missed periods. Few women do not experience any symptoms throughout pregnancy. Do not depend on the appearance of symptoms as only indication for pregnancy. Urine pregnancy tests usually start showing you positive results after about 20 days post-conception roughly corresponding to about 1 week after your 'missed periods'. If you suspect chances of pregnancy, look out for development of any other new symptoms. Wait and watch for your next periods. If you do not get your periods within 10 days of expected period dates, or if you get abnormal periods, or if you develop symptoms suggestive of pregnancy, you should consider visiting your gynecologist for thorough examination (to confirm pregnancy related changes/signs in body) and blood/serum HCG level test (to confirm/rule out pregnancy accurately).
