Menstruation Answer A7715
You want to know why your period is not regular.

The menstrual cycle in women can last from 28 to 35 days. The part of the menstrual cycle called "ovulating" occurs when the ovum is released from the ovary. The non-ovulating part of the menstrual cycle occurs when there is no ovum ready to be released. When a menstrual cycle is in its non-ovulating phase, bleeding may be delayed or late for a few days.

According to the data that you described it seems as if you are experiencing a non-ovulating cycle. That is normal. You may consider seeing a gynecologist to check the condition and for a full analysis.

Please keep in mind that I am not able to diagnose your medical condition online. Please contact your doctor or other healthcare provider such as a gynecologist for further diagnosis and treatment.
