Q: late mestrual period

dear doctor.
i was due my period last friday (ish) im never the same date every month. but 2wks ago, i got really sick,i got a bad tummy bug,vomiting diarrohea,and an extrememly high temperature,i got slightly dehidrated...(sorry for the spelling)..

anyway my period is late wit almost a week now, but im getting these cramps, and my breasts always get heavy during my period and there heavy now, i also noticed white discharge but is this just normal?..
im 18 and i have a boyfriend,any time we have sex, i make sure he wears a condom, but insist e doesnt cum inside me. we have never done it without a condom,
i went to the doctor for the pill aswel,and im anxious to get on it,im waitin for my period to begin to start , i am also beginning serious school exams soon aswell so could it to be do with stress that my period is late.???

last year i got glandular fever,my period was delayed a week because of the sickness...

could it be the tummy bug i got that is causing me to be late?
im very careful when having sex,and i hope to god im not pregnant. im too young.

same thing happened to me. I was in school and totally stressed and thought "OMG what if i'm pregnant!?" which causes more stress. Best advice I have for you is just go buy a cheap pregnancy test at the store, take it, and if it says you aren't pregnant I can guarantee you're period will come soon. Mine came the next day after I took the test.

hey tanks a mill 4ur reply,my period was well over a week late... but it came dis morning,i can finally take the pill its great...i had myself so worked up about been pregnant frm reading all these forums on the net, i had driven myself mad.. tanks a mill 4ur reply again xxx
