my period is late, my cycle is typically every 28 and has been that way the past 5 months 28 days in between everytime, im currently one week late. I have taken two HPTs and had negative results; however i currently am recovering from a bladder infection, can that effect the results of an HPT?

Hi,
Welcome to the ehealthforum. I am glad to help you out.

The home pregnancy tests detect the hormone hCG and not the by products of infection.

Infections do not cause the hormones to be released. Hence, there’s no possibility of the urinary tract infection interfering in the home pregnancy test.
