Q: Late and light period

My period was like a week and a half late and when it did finally make its appearance it was crazy light, and that is very out of the norm for me. My breasts are super sensitive and swollen. There is also a white kind of {{for lack of better word}} stuff coming out of my nipples. I'm sleepy all the time and my tummy feels really full like below my belly button.i have felt kinda like this before but never to this extreme, and i have taken a whole butt ton of hpts in the past and they have all been negative. I was just wondering if i may be preggo. At the momment i have no insurance
so i dont want to go to the doctor and pay out my wazzo for nothing. Please help me out!

Hi there, You mentioned that you have taken a lot of home pregnancy tests in the past; when did you take the last one? I can't imagine white stuff coming out of your nipples if you aren't pregnant. Was the blood from your light period very pink? Many times women will have some of these symptoms with a light pink period when having a miscarriage.

i took the last one like 7 or 8 months ago. yeah it was light most of the time but there was some {{sorry hate to be graphic but...}} brownish stuff with it. well i certainly hope thats not the case =(

I did a little research on this only to find that a pus like substance coming from your nipple can be an infection or pregnancy. If I were you I would try another home pregnancy test today and if it is negative I would make an appt. with the OB/GYN. If you do have an infection you need antibiotics.

yeah so i bought a cheep pregnancy test and it came out negative. Im not sure if im really not, or was the test just not as reliable as a good name brand one. or could it be to early to tell? i dont know so im going to just make an appointment at Planned Parenthood and see what happens from there =/ Thank you all so much ^^

I am hoping someone can help me. I had my cycle in May starting on the 20th, in June I had light spotting on the 12th which was only 23 days after my last cycle I had the same light pink brown spotting for 3 days then on the 16th and the 17th it was bright red but only in the mornings and early afternoon, I took a hpt on the 21st it was negative, so my question is on what day did my actual cycle start?? Im trying to figure out what my fertile days would have been this time and how soon i could test this month?? Thanks

hi - to answer the question on 'most fertile days'I would definately reccommend using an ovulation kit. it's a misconception that you ovulate on day 14, it's more typically 14 days BEFORE your next cycle, so if your cycle is only 23 days long, you would actually ovulate on day 9 (23-14). I use the ovulation kits (pee stick each morning) and it works great (get the expesive ones digital is best, my doctor told me not to use the cheap ones, you can't get a good read). Good luck (I am in the same boat, still trying the old fashioned way, but maybe having my first IVF in a few months!).
