Hi,
Me and my boyfriend had sex last month a week before my period was due. i am pretty sure i was not ovulating because i was so close to my period and i usually can tell when i am. He wore a condom but couldnt remember if he pulled out or not. we looked at the condom and all the semen was inside, he even filled the condom with water to make sure it didnt break. i took plan b just in case and ended up getting my period. we have not had sex since and now my period is 2 days late. i am not on birth control and dont know if i am late becuase of plan b or becuase i am highly stressed. i try to think i am not pregnant but i cant help but worry. any help?

its just the stress. i do the same thing, i worry and freak out. but you honestly have nothing to worry about. plan b says in the booklet that it can cause you next two periods to be slightly early/late, and also longer/shorter. it sounds like you were perfectly safe :]

Actually, I'm going to disagree with the previous poster, it is NOT STRESS. Please read the insert on your PLAN B. It states that your period can be wacko for 3 months. Just because you got your period right away after taking Plan B, does not mean you won't suffer weird periods for awhile.

Plan B is a massive dose of hormones meant to stall or prevent your body from ovulating. Your body is trying to figure out how to deal with those hormones.

I'm in the exact same situation. Now I'm a week late for my period and i'm worrying. I've got a negative pregnancy test but lately I kinda feel nausea, do you experience the same thing??

Nausea is a very common side effect for Plan B.

You need to be careful when worrying about "pregnancy symptoms" after you take Plan B. The massive amounts of hormones can have some pretty negative side effects and they can be similar to what most women consider classic pregnancy symptoms.

Wait another week then test again. Your periods will be a little irregular for awhile and you may experience some spotting between periods, so its hard to say exactly when your next period will come-- everyone is different.
