I'm a 40yr old female,will soon be 41.The past 2 months my period has been out of whack,I start my period and it lasts longer and it also tends to start back 3-4days after i've finished my cycle,could this be the onset of perimenopause or menopause related?I have no pain or discomfort,i'm just really tired of constantly bledding,please help.

Welcome to ehealthforum,
It is difficult to comment on the menopausal status without examining you and going ahead with further evaluation. The altered bleeding pattern could be indicative of perimenopause or menopausal onset, hormonal derangements, endometrial hyperplasia etc. Visit your doctor/gynecologist for further evaluation along with hormonal analysis and ultrasound scan to confirm/rule out menopausal changes. Treatment as appropriate (based on examination findings and investigations results) would be started to help you control the bleeding. Be in regular monitoring and follow-up with your treating doctor/gynecologist and report any new/abnormal symptoms immediately.
