I went to get an eye exam today because I cannot see far distances and halos around words. When I spoke to the doctor (I think he is) he told me that I had large pupils which is distorting my vision, And he told me even if he gave me glasses it will not correct the problem. I am wondering if this is true or not and should I go to a eye doctor (In a hospital).
The problems I am having is

1) burly vision when seeing large signs and far distances especially at night.
2) sensitivity to light.
3) burly vision in bright well lit areas.
4) sometimes having problems of focusing.

What do you all think I should do. I want to learn how to drive and i cannot see the street signs! especially at nighttime.

Did you see an opthamologist?

What was the exact diagnosis for "large pupils"...? and is the condition related to nerve damage?

I believe he was a o.d not md.
he told me that the reason I was seeing like this is because i have huge pupils. I never went to an eye doctor but I am considering to since no one in my family noticed that I have or had large pupils.

I'd suggest you do so. You're in search of a diagnosis and treatment plan. I think that an eye specialist can help you.
