referral to a neurologist

Hi all I'm new here.

Over the last few months I've been having some quite worrying symptoms. Just a few:

tingling in my hands and face
persistent headache (and I don't usuallly suffer headaches at all)
swallowing difficulty
double vision when I watch the TV (even if I haven't watched Tv in a week and I do have correct glasses)
weakness in legs
pains in legs (after no obvious causes)
what feel like twitches all over my body
an electrical buzzing in my hands
Periods of extreme tiredness (almost like being paralysed)
Twitching in my eye.

I only seem to have a few of these symptoms at any one time and they will only last for a few days. They will then return after a few weeks. Has anyone experienced anything similar? Any idea what it might be?

A neurologist would be your best bet. I have MS and I've had these symptoms...come and go HOWEVER not ever person who has these symptoms has MS. There are many diseases that mimic each other and with a good neurologist s/he would be able to identify what is going on.

It could be something as simple as a vitamin deficiency...Vitamin D and Vitamin B families are very important for our overall health.

Best Wishes,

Thanks for that. Do you live in the UK? Trying to get a referral to any specialist is neigh impossible. Damned socialist medicine.

I've visited UK but reside in US. We might be joining socialist medicine as well...

In the meantime, take Calcium / Vitamin D / Vitamin B (3,6,12...all B's are good)...see if your symptoms improve and stay that way.
