Q: Lamictal savings ?

Hello everyone.

I have a young daughter, 12 years of age with epilepsy. Her insurance got cancelled recently, and won't be back up until Monday. She's takes a good 17 pills a day, and she's already run out of Lamictal. She's been having more seizures of late, and she needs the medicine badly. We can't afford to pay for the pills. She takes 12 of Lamictal a day, and the cost for the weekend is too much for us. Does anyone have any recomendations or savings coupons you know of that could help us? It's urgent.

Have you been able to get more Lamictal yet? Lamictal withdrawal, as with all psychiatric drugs withdrawal, can be very dangerous when the drug is quit abruptly, and I don't mean just seizure-wise. If she is experiencing severe nausea, panic attacks, etc, those are Lamictal withdrawal effects. I experienced them recently when I lowered my dose a little. They get better with time after going back on but it takes a while. How are things going for your daughter by now?
