Every bipolar person can be switched into mania due to use of antidepressants, if these meds are used alone as they are used in case of unipolar depression.
They need to be combined with mood stabilizers to avoid triggering of mania.
Lamictal has significant antidepressant potency, treats bipolar depression without triggering mania, hypomania, mixed states, or rapid-cycling, usually, recommended as a first-line treatment for acute depression in bipolar disorder as well as a maintenance therapy.
Anxiety can be a symptom of bipolar disorder, or, it can be present as a distinct disorder at the same time with bipolar disorder.
Usually, it takes up to several weeks for Lamictal to rich its effect.
Its most common side effect is headache, but, it isn't a reason for discontinuing the course.

Do you have depressive feeling most of the time?
Do you find yourself over-energized, and, agitated and irritable, at the same time?
Are your thoughts nearly all negative?
