Q: lack of tears

i recently got custody of my kids. My wife and i have been noticing that my seven year old son cries but there are no tears. As i think about it, i have never seen any tears from him. Is this normal or should i take him to the doctor about it?

I would definetely take him to the doctor he could be dehydrated.
