Hey, I am new to this but here it goes. I am 20 years old and the last time I have had sex was about 2 weeks ago. Just recently, when I went to urinate, my vagina started stinging horribly. I drank cranberry juice and ate blueberries and took Vitamin C and the burning went away. But today, which is the next day, my labia minora has been itching up a storm. There is no discharge or smell. I took a shower, cleaned it real good, but it still itches and I feel like I have to pee all the time. Can someone please help me?? I'm going crazy.. Thanks!!

Hi,
Welcome to ehealthforum,
The symptoms could be suggestive of possible vaginal infection (post intercourse urethritis or vaginitis). Consider visiting your doctor/gynecologist at the earliest for examination, urine analysis and vaginal swab/smear test to identify the causative agent. Get started on treatment as indicated. Get your partner also treated simultaneously to prevent re-infection. Avoid unprotected sexual contact. Avoid vaginal douching, use of harsh soap or perfumes in the area (vagina has its own mechanism of cleaning itself. Use of these products harms the normal bacteria of vagina and it becomes susceptible to infection). Use loose cotton undergarments and avoid tight fitting clothes (make sure your undergarments are washed properly and have no traces of detergent in them). Drink plenty of water and fruit juices.
Take care.
