Q: L5-SI fusion results

In April 06 i had a L5-SI FUSION with a capstone divice and bone marrow. i was told and it was reported that it was a tottl discectomy. YET ON A RECENT MRI it showed a disc bulging at that level but because of the hardware and fusion they could not see to what degree. Is it possible that they didn't take out the disk. And what would I be looking at to fix this the pain is constant andgets worse as time goes on.

Has anyone had this happen and what has been the outcome?

Hello dnR,

It HURT to read your post and the pain that you are in.

It is TIME to seek the advice of another spinal surgeon. In fact the BEST spinal surgeon in your area. It is not an easy task I know, for I have seen 6-7 spinal surgeons and I have yet to find that very special spinal surgeon.

I wish you the very best.
