Hi my name is marius. I am experiencing severe pain after spinal surgery(L5;S1 Buldging disk replacement), in my right foot. The pain focusses on the bridge of the foot and extends to my toes with pins and needleswwhere my toes joins my foot.My foot`s bridge is very sensitive. The bottom of my big toe is also swollen.Basically my foot feels if it comes out of sleep. All my toes feels as if they are swollen but is not.The pain also extends into my lower back, thigh and carf. Before my op. i could not walk and had severe pain.I really have improved 100% if only my foot problem can be solved. Could you please advise me on this.
PS. I went back the surgeon and his comment was that the pain in the foot was gaut and does not relate to the operation.

Marius, My surgeon told me I could experience pain reduction over the year after my surgery. Said the nerves heal slowly.

I have always thought when I have pain I have no way to be sure the pain is not something else. Check with your regular Dr.
