I am a hepatitis B carrier. I've recently decided it was time to look after my health, which includes eating well, and doing plenty of exercise. This also includes doing intensive weight training in the gym to build muscle (which, in addition to having a positive aesthetic effect, also assists in reducing fat and promotes a healthy lifestyle).
To aid my weight training, I am taking protein supplementation (the usual whey protein powders commonly available in nutrition stores) as well as L-Glutamine.
Has anyone read about or does anyone know whether these supplements are harmful to my liver?
I have read one article which about to enhance the liver function!! They said 'Glutathione' is necessary for maintaining liver function. And the L-Glutamine help to increase Glutathione. So I think it's good for the liver!!
but at the end of the article they said, before consuming L-glutamine you have to ask your doctors. it's a warning!!
I have no idea about this!!
