I have always had pain in my hips and knees due to being hit by a car when I was 5 yrs. I am now 33 yrs. and started getting this feeling like restless legs but only in my knees. I went to my ortho doc and was put on mobic and ultram er. when I went back and told them that was not working I was then sent to physical therapy. Now after 3 weeks of physical therapy I have gone back to the doctor and they now want to do surgery on my knee. Now my problem is I have only ever had x-rays done and I have never been told what exactly they think is wrong with my knee. I'm worried that they are moving to fast. I plan on getting a second opinion but should I try something else before taking the step of having surgery? What else is there I can try? Any help would be great. Thanks Wendy
