Over several months i have had recurring
pain in/around my right knee. I can
honestly say it isn't always painful, but
when it is i cannot weight bear and
sometimes feel as though i will lose my
balance. I can only walk approx three
steps without having to grab onto
something or someone. I use to get relief
when i kept my leg straight - now it
doesn't help. Bending my knee while
seated is occasionally painful. Recently
i had an xray- the Doctor's office called
me to come back into their office to
review the results of the xray. The
Doctor said there is a 'black spot' in the
knee xray and the physician referred to
the 'black spot' as a 'red herring' - he
also said he wanted me to get a bone scan
done and he didn't want to wait for the
scan to be done. Then he said
everything's probably ok - i'm worried. I
have the bone scan next week. Does anyone
have anything they can tell me about this
because i have been trying to research
this and so far haven't found anything
that would give me any answers. I
actually thought the pain might go away
when spring arrived - it hasn't - there's
no change. I am actually afraid to go out
on my own now because i don't know how far
i will be able to walk or if my knee will
give out and my balance will be off. I'm
hoping someone can give me a few answers.
I'm worried. Thanks.

Have you got the bone scan results
already?
Did this pain develop gradually and
increased in intensity over time?
Do you find the knee area tender and
swollen?
Are you experiencing fatigue or weight
loss?
How old are you?
