Hello. I just turned 19 and even if I ignored my knee problems, they just kept resurfacing. I had a knee sprain last year, in May and it took a couple of limping weeks to heal. A quick move whilst I was indoors was all it took for my knee to move out of place and pop right back.

My knees give out sometimes when I'm walking. I either blame it on being tired or just ignore it. Also, at a 50-meter dash this year my knee gave out and I had to stop running, even though I did do a proper warm-up. Yesterday, when I was playing basketball and jumped, it gave out. And today, I crouched down a bit too fast and I heard two different popping sounds above the knee..and then pain. I can walk and extend it..But it hurts when I bend it.

The stiffness I'm referring to comes when I have to bend my knees. Sometimes, even crouching down to pick something up hurts and my knees sort of "pop and lock" and I have to hold on to something to get back up on my feet, so the pain won't be so excruciating. I have been playing basketball for 6 years now and I believe I did fall down pretty bad a few years ago, once, and my knee popped. And ever since then I had trouble with bending my knees. And then the accident last year.

I really don't know what to think of it, because sometimes I can exercise, play basketball and dance freely and other times things like those mentioned above happen.
