Am a 37 year old female never suffered from much pain in my knees just minor issues of dislocation that never required medical attention till a Dr. tells me I need alignment surgery now am thinking wasn't really needed now am out of work wondering why I didn't even get second opinion...?

Welcome to ehealthforum,
It is difficult to comment on the knee condition that you describe without examining it. If you are worried, you can consider taking a second opinion and then proceed with further management. Be in regular monitoring and follow-up with your treating doctor and report any new/abnormal symptoms immediately. Take adequate rest.
