hello everyone.
this past feb. i was placed on .25 mg 2x a day of klonopin. i started to feel the anxiety and panic return a few weeks ago so i increased my dosage to .5 mg 2x a day. today is day 12. since i increased, i've been really moody and "snappy". im very sluggish, dont feel like going anywhere or even talking to anyone. im trying to figure out if this is just because i need to get use to the dosage adjustment or if the klonopin is actually causing me to become depressed? i've never been depressed before so im not exactly sure how it feels and if i have it?
when i was first diagnosed with GAD/panic i was placed on klonopin along with a few diff. antidep. each one of them made me 10x more anxious and i felt like i was losing my mind, so i really dont want to have to go on an antidep.
any thoughts, suggestions would be great! thanks!-kay

Klonopin is one of the longer lasting anti-depressents. It take awhile to get into the blood stream giving you a blood level. It's long lasting effects help you stay in a more controled mood and helps stop the not so severe attacks. If you still have severe attacks. you doctor may opt to give you something to help you through that time. I am on two meds myslef. One long term and one for the onset of an extream attack that the other med will not be able to handle. Some do fine on justs Klonopin. I do'nt after being on anti-depressent for about 5 years, mine has to be ajusted and sometimes even changed.

feeling depressed is a normal reaction to the difficulties of life. at some point i took anti-depressants, but found that they made no difference on my outlook on things, and that the things that disturbed me continued to do so.

can you identify the things that make you feel depressed?

do you have someone in your life that you respect and feel free to talk to, without feeling like you will be judged?
