Hello,

Welcome to ehealthforum

Acne is a very common problem and usually occurs when the skin pores become clogged. It can also be due to hormonal changes which are quite common at your age, certain drugs, cosmetic products etc.
If they have been reoccuring you should take a good anti acne treatment from a dermatologist. You might require oral antibiotics along with that.A proper clinical examination of the lesion/spots would help in giving a fair idea.
Once your acne has completely stopped then you should go for treating spots.Medications containing benzoyl peroxide, salicyclic acid give good response.
Along with that self care is also important as:
1)Avoid squeezing or pricking the pimples.
2)Check if there is dandruff as it is also one of the cause of acne.
3)Never use make up at night. In cosmetics prefer using water based preparations.
4)Apply sunscreen while going out.
5)Avoid fatty, oily, processed food items as they can trigger it.
6)Drink lots of water.
Take care!
