Diarrhea, especially lasting three weeks, usually indicates an intestinal infection, which can be confirmed by a stool sample test performed by your Pediatrician. The presence of protein in the urine might indicate the early stages of kidney failure. Your Pediatrician may conduct a few diagnostic tests, including an ultrasound, to determine the cause.
