Hey folks!
I was diagnosed with a 5mm stone about 2 months ago and I have yet to pass it
What scares me is I seem to have bloody urine like once a week or so. I have been drinking large amounts of water to move it. I have had pain in the lower back just twice during this period.
I have put off surgery because I do not want a stint inserted but looks like I'm going to have to get surgery as it has not passed. In the past week or so there seems to be an irritation that feels like there is a pin inserted in my penis, sorry to be graphic!
Any advice!

I found out i had a kidney stone in january of 09. They told me it 6mm. After 3mm there is no way you are going to pass it. i had no choice to do the surgery. however, due to medical reasons I could not get the surgery right away. I was able to get in done on August 7th. However during that time, i didnt have any pain until like april then my stomach hurt. then i started to get an achy back, then my kidney started to feel like it was on fire, so the longer you wait the more pain you will feel. Stents suck, i know. I had one in for 6 weeks. It a horrible feeling. and makes you feel like you gotta pee alot. but believe me it was worth it to get it done or the pain just gets worse! usually the stent only stays in for a week.
