Kidney Stones & pregnant ??

Yes I am 22 weeks pregnant and I have a kidney stone. First I had terrible pain in my stomache. My OB said it was just round ligament pain. I knew it had to be something else because the pain was so severe. I was relieved in a way when I found out it was a kidney stone, bc I thought something was going on with my baby. Bur now fear as set it. I know what it feels like to pass a kidney stone. It hurts soooooo bad. And I have never done it with out pain meds. I'm worried that I might stress my baby out. My Dr. is giving me a week to pass it and if I don't then He is going to try to go in and get it, and possibly put a stent in. I am scared for the labor pains, even though this is my 2nd, and I'm scared for the stone/stent pain. I have passed these many times. I know I am being a wuss about it. but I know what you are going through...

I also had that during my pregnancy they said the stress I was in from the pain wasn't good. So, I was suppose to use ice packs (not hot packs) place them on the pain. PLUS they gave me a pain killer to help with the pain. At one point it got so bad that I actually was admitted into the hospital.

I'm 21 weeks pregnant and I just got out of the hospital last wednesday for a severe kidney infection that was caused by a kidney stone. I've never been in so much pain *EVER*! I was just wondering if you were prescribe an antibiotic? I was prescribed oral clindamycin for the infection but I was reading online and it says that you shouldn't take it while you're pregnant. Is anyone familiar with this antibiotic?

I am currently on Cefdinir 300mg for what is thought to be a bad UTI and oxycodone 5mg for any pain. I've been on the antibiotic for 5 days and the pain actually seems to be getting worse. I'm 16 weeks pregnant now and am very nervous this could be a stone. Anyone else been put on an antibiotic but have it not help at all??
