Well it started two weeks ago when I felt very tired at around 6pm and went to bed, I awoke at 3am and got up and felt quite weak, lightheaded etc. I went to the toilet and noticed my urine was darker than usual. I booked an appointment at the doctors and went to see what the problem was. At this point I began getting pain on both sides of my lower back, and also a bit of pain above. I was given a course of antibiotics and told i had an infection of my water system as i was told i had a bit of blood in my urine, during the course the pain seemed to shift from my side to my lower back, by the last day of my course of antibiotics it had returned to my sides. I went back to the doctors and told him that i was still uncomfortable and he gave me some more antibiotics. The pain now is just in my left side really. The pain is not really bad, it kind of comes and last a few seconds and goes, doesn't feel painful as such, just noticeable and not very comfortable.

sorry its long post,

liam

Did they run any tests? What did they say was wrong? I would get another opinion.

Are you positive it is a kidney disease? I think you should have a urine lab test

It sounds like you had a urine test. Did they do an ultrasound or CT scan?
Did you have blood tests done? If so did the doctor tell you what your GFR is?
