Hello. i'm new to this board. I am an 18 year old female who has been suffering from an "unknown kidney issue" for the past year. Here is the breakdown:

I came back from a travel abroud studies program in Europe last year around May. The next week I was in ER with terrible flank pain. I learned it was a kidney stone. Since that passing of a stone, I have passed 15 more stones since then, with extra "gravel" coming down as well. I have had 3 cystoscopies and 1 laproscopy. I have been in the ER with pain upwards of 19 times. stretcher

I have also had large ovarian cysts and I currently have a Bosniak II complex cyst which within 6 months has grown. I have incredably bloody urine and high creatinin levels. I also suffer from mild hydronephrosis.

I have been to 4 urologists, 2 nephrologists, and an assortment of other doctors, none have which have been able to give me an answer. Finally, the stones broke apart my filtering system and I was diagnosed with kidney disease. I have chronic kidney pain.

Besides the diagnosis of Kidney Disease, I have no answers as to why my body is creating stones or why I have had 4 UTIs in four months or why I'm in chronic pain. The doctors have told me everything from not believing I have had pain to sending me to a psychiatric ward.

I am now about to start college at Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD). I'm a gifted artist with a schlorship, and now this unknown disease may prevent me from attending.

If anyone has any insights, please help.

God bless,
Loli-chan

Have the doctors done a 24 hour urine and blood work to find out if you are making to much uric acid, they need to look at the sodium levels as well.

You may want to reduce the amount of sodium you are taking in along with following a low oxalate diet which oxalate is found in colas, teas, coffee, chocolate, berries, and more.
Why did they send you to a psych ward, pain is real...Doctors need to learn to listen their patients, we know our bodies.

What type of kidney disease do you have?

I'm on a low sodium diet, I'm consuming less than 800mg a day. My Nephrologist said that I had lost 20% of my filtering capcity, and he didn't say what type of kidney disease.

Many doctors can't seem to find a viable cause for my pain, so they assume I'm making it up.

Thank you so much for the advice kiss

Please ask your doctor what type of kidney disease you have.
No one is going to make up this, if they can not find the cause is ther another doctor you can consult?
You lost 20% of your filtering...Wow!!
Please follow up on this.
