Q: Just how until birth control kicks in?

On average, how long does it take for the pill to kick in?

E.G: if i take it on the day i have my period, and then when the next day comes along, how long will it take for the bleeding to stop?

It would help to know what the exact brand or name of birth control you are on. I'm assuming it is one that is supposed to stop your periods. Your best bet is to go to the maker's website to find out this information but if you give me the name I'll try to find out the answer to your question.
