REALLY!!! oh boy! well, my husband and i have spoken about our mistake. We have 2 beautiful children, and we have decided if I am pregnant, we are going to keep it. Im 35 years old, and i cannot emotionally and physically go thru another abortion. I JUST CANT!! even tho i was only 4 weeks, it was a rough experience to go thru.

Now my concern is, since the abortion i had was only 2 weeks ago (July 2nd). and after having unprotected sex on the 14th of July, if i am pregnant, would the baby be healthy? Would my womb be able to hold a healthy baby? I know it sounds like a silly questions. However Im now worried that the growth of the baby might be affected by the abortion i had 2 weeks ago.

thank you so much for your input. very helpful....Actually, i had my abortion in the hospital under excellent care/ doctors and nurses. I was taken care of by well trained staff. I have a heart condition, which i have a defrillator/pacemaker. Besides my heart condition, i am healthy. I really hope i dont misscarrage!!! it would be soooo emotionally painful for me. i went to the docs today and he said i have to wait 1 month to take a test to detect pregnancy. I do want the baby if i am pregnant. how soon can i test for pregnancy? and if i am pregnant, what cautions can i take to prevent a misscarrge?

BECAUSE pregnancy takes 2 weeks after sex, you can take a test 2 weeks after you had sex.

There is nothing you can do to prevent miscarriage.

i had an abortion july 2nd, had sex on july 14th, my hsband came inside me. worried i might be pregnant again. I took a pregnancy test yesterday to see if any HCG horomone was still in my system from last abortion. its negative. however i did notice after abortion, bout 5 days later all my pregnancy symtoms were gone. AFter i had sex on the 14th, bout 5 days after, my breast became tender. could it be im pregnant? When can i take a blood test to detect pregnancy? Carifairy said i can test in 2 weeks. Is that a urine or blood test i take?

I had an abortion July 2nd. I took a pregnancy test bout 2 and a half weeks after abortion it was negative. All my pregnancy symtoms were gone after 5 days of abortion. I have not yet got my menses/period. Then I had sex on July 14th. he came inside me. its now 2 weeks later after having sex. My breast are tender. Feels heavy. Tingling burining sensation with mild discomfort around the nipple. I feel a sense of heaviness in my lower ab. it comes and goes. Is this a sign of pregnancy again? Is it too early to test?

Pregnancy symptoms are caused by pregnancy hormones. These are the same hormones that pregnancy tests detect. If you had enough of the hormone in your body to cause symptoms, you'd have enough to trigger a positive on the test.

Wait a few more days and test again just to be safe - but the symptoms you're feeling are not caused by pregnancy. It's just not possible, sweetie.

i was just wondering if you were pregnant cos i am kinda in the same situation as you, i had my abortion on the 7th of august and had sex about 10 days after and was wondering if i was pregnant I took two tests both negative and I did another one the other day and it came up with a very faint faint line but I don’t know still but i can not seem to find anything on the internet that helps me determine everything I look at asks for my LMP (last menstrual period) which then was like well over 10 weeks ago and now that i have read your post i was wondering if you were, and if you are doing okay and your baby is okay too?

It might be that because the abortion was such a painful experience, you are paranoid of a repeat pregnancy. I know how you feel, hon. I had an abortion (an awful experience..I was conscious and it was PAINFUL, physically and emotionally). Afterward I worried so much about a repeat experience, I went and got "fixed" as soon as I could. The fear of pregnancy can manifest itself in some very real-feeling physical symptoms.

I do not understand why you are telling her it take two weeks after sex to become pregnant? This information is incorrect.
Now if you are saying it takes two weeks after the first day of her LMP that would be a more correct answer.
Sperm survive for about 72 hrs where as a womans egg survives maybe 24.
Be aware that 3 days before ovulation you should be using protection. Those little spermies are just waiting for that egg to drop!

january 23, 2009 i had an abortion. the nurse told me not to have sex for 2 weeks (and not to use tampons plus they also said i can get pregenant again) but my boyfriend couldn't wait so towards the last week he had sex (but pulled out). After the 2 weeks were over he camed all the time and we had sex constantly. is there a possiblility that i'm pregenant again?

Of course there is a possibility of you becoming pregnant again. Though I would not stress over that until you miss a period. If you do not want to have a baby so bad that you would get an abortion just wear a condom. Or if your boyfriend does not like that get depo or something. Having to get multiple abortions cannot possibly be good for you.

I totally understand. I took the abortion pill. I found that the guy I am seeing is seeing several others plus was physically violent to one. I couldn't be with him for many reasons. Now I am sad and wish I wouldn't have taken the pills. I look at maternity clothes and baby toys and wanna cry.

I'm getting faint but clear positive pregnancy tests, i have had un protected sex once or twice about 4 weeks ago & 2 weeks ago. After my abortion, I didn't get my period for 7 weeks and was told that a pregnancy test could be positive for up to 8 weeks. I was also told to wait 4-6 weeks to have sex. It is possible that the pregnancy hormone could still be in your body, or the abortion pill failed, or you are, in fact, pregnant again. Did you see a doctor after your abortion to make sure it was completed? I would wait a little longer and take another test. If it comes back positive again, make an appointment to see your doctor.

If you are not pregnant, you should try to get on a form of birth control to prevent another unwanted pregnancy. I had my abortion in 2006, and have become fanatical about protection during sex. I NEVER want to go through that again. I wish you luck!
