Hi - I got saline breast implants five years ago. My plastic surgeon says that they have both spread a bit (width-wise), but it's not a cause for concern. However, within the last six months, when I'm lying on my side (usually asleep), a nerve on the outside of my right breast will tingle/jump wildly for about 2 seconds. It doesn't hurt and never happens when I'm awake or sitting up only when I'm lying down (presumably with my widened breast implant pressing on that nerve). I asked my family MD about this and he says it's not a concern, that I probably need more electrolytes, so I started drinking sports drinks and added magnesium and potassium pills to my daily routine, but the wildly jumping, tingling nerve is still waking me up at least once during the night. I'm peri-menopausal and take Prempro, and also take Atenolol (a beta blocker) for stress. I exercise an hour a day and am in otherwise perfect health. Are there any OTC cures for this jumping nerve? I have googled this and can't find anything. Thanks!
