Morning stiffness in fingers and in other joints, is very common for rheumatoid arthritis.
Most commonly, small joints of the hands, feet and cervical spine are affected, but larger joints like the shoulder and knee can also be involved.
Although, joints in RA are affected symmetrically, in the beginning of disease, the large joints can be affected asymmetrically (only one shoulder, one knee).
The symptoms of arthritic shoulder are tenderness around the joint, pain with activities, limited range of motion, swelling and stiffness of the shoulder.
It is very possible that you have neck spine arthritic changes that may lead to pain in your shoulder and arm.

Visit a reumatologist as soon as possible!

Hi 2654mt. I have osteoarthritis and have the same symptoms in my hands elbows, knees. I have taken NSAIDS like Celebrex, Vioxx and Meloxicam. Of course eventually they all get pulled off the market because they end up being dangerous for us. I am on the lowest dose of Meloxicam there is right now. It helps some, but not enough. I have started using a nutritional supplement called Vemma for about 5 months now and can tell you that it is doing more for me than anything I have taken in the past. I rarely wake up with much stiffness anymore. I used to not be able to make a fist in the mornings, but no problems now. I credit Vemma for replenishing the nutrients my body need to fight the arthritis. Vemma also is high in antioxidants, is an anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial and anti-fungal. Good luck and God Bless, Celene

try something like this.
look into an acupuncture pillow. Its natural healing and alleviates stress and pain. Look into something like the Prickly Pad. There are others of this type I just know of this particular brand. But try thirty minutes a day of relaxation on one of these and feel the pain gradually go away. Its treating the issue through blood stimulation...something us with arthiritis often neglect.

We are so happy to have found Flexarite! It works as well as they said it did. My husband has really bad knees and he has been so active since he started Flexarite and I cannot believe how much better my hands feel!
