Q: Joint & Muscle Pain

I was diagnosed with a non-specific autoimmune disorder about 8 yrs ago. Lately, I have noticed that I have contant, minor pain in my muscles around my joints--this is not due to a "flare up". Also any type of "muscle stress" is very painful and will last for days. I don't feel that I am getting any relief after several days. Is this something I should bring up with my rhum.? I am concerned and tired of the pain. Thanks!

Absolutely. You should bring up any new symptoms with your doctor. He or she may be able to help the pain with medication or other therapy.

My advice would be to write down all your symptoms (new and old) and their severity down, along with how long they've been going on and if anything makes them better or worse. Then write down all your questions for the doctor and take these lists with you to your next appointment.

Good luck. I hope you find relief soon.
