I went in on April 2nd around 9pm to be induced. I started the "ripening of the cervix" procedure and was given something to make me relax and get sleep for the big day of labor the very next day April 3. Around 8am April 3 doctor came in to check to see if I dialated but I had not. So I was given Patocin (sp) around 8:30 am and everything went from there. The contractions were bearable in the begining but around noon they started coming around 2min apart and sometimes it felt like they were a minute apart. My water broke aroun 12:30pm that day and when I was checked again, my doctor said I had only dialated 1cm. I already was having bp issues during the whole pregnancy so since I was in labor and having strong contractions the Dr. thought it would be best to go ahead and have a cesarian because they didnt want the baby heart rate to drop and my bp started going up. So Jayden was born around 1:57 p.m on April 3rd weighing 5lbs and 13oz and was 19 1/2 inches long. Its been 3 weeks and 2days and we are both doing GREAT!! He is currently weighing 6lbs 13oz so he is growing wonderfully!!
