my jaw hurts really bad right in front of my ear it is swollen and i can't eat it hurts so bad it hurts to talk what could this be and what could have caused it?

it could be the mumps, you can get them at any age, i had them 2 years ago. It will usually go without treatment in a week or two. But if it is really painfull you could get something from doctor for pain.
