Q: Jaw muscle spasms

I just found out I have TMJ because I started have what felt like 'Charley Horses' on the right side of my face. I probably have a couple muscle spasms an hour. My dentist said this will pass but I have to wear a night guard at night now. Does anyone know how much longer these spasms will last? This is day 2 and I taking ibuprofen every 6 hours and a pain killer twice a day.

Ibuprofen is a pain killer by itself, so what else are you taking? Would you feel describe what you mean by Charley Horses? How are you doing now? I'm surprised nobody replied to you. Hope you're doing better.
