I've decided I to try a different form of
birth control other then the pill. I've
been on numerous brands and everything
I've tried makes me bleed.. alot.. even
when I'm not supposed to be on my period.
Anyway.
I'd like to try IUD, provided my doctor
says it's okay.
Are any of you using it? Can anyone give
me an idea of what it's like?
Thanks

I have had an iud for almost two yrs. The
mirena. It suppose to make you stop
bleeding but i had a period every month.
Everyone's body is different. I loved it
other than that. But don't not get it
because i didnt stop bleeding. They're
lots of people who quit bleeding too.

NOT all women quit bleeding...
ONLY 20% of women will lose their
periods....
I am a womens health professional.
I LOVE IUD'S, they are effective methods,
and I use a copper IUD. LOVE IT LOVE IT

I have been on Mirena for almost 2 years
now.
For me, the insertion and months after
insertion was the worst part.
Insertion hurt. It felt like severe cramps
for a few days-kind of like my
contractions when I was in labor.
Then I bled for 7 months straight. Now, I
only bleed occasionally, once a month for
like 2 days.
I think they are a great option for
carefree birth control.
Hope you are successful with this choice.
If not, you can always have it removed.
