Q: IUD - Hot Flashes

Hi,im 21 years old i had an IUD inserted around Nov 08. I have been experiencing pain in what i think is my ovaries and abdomen(stabbing/cramping pain) and i have hot flashes everyday sometimes up to 10 times a day. I experience back pain almost everyday but am not sure if it relates. My period is sometimes messed up. Sometimes it lasts 2 weeks and sometimes 3 days, and is not always red. My last period lasted 3 days and was totally brown. Could i have an infection? Could the IUD have poked a hole in my uterus during sex?
Please Help!

side effects of using iud is
partner complains of iud sting
bleeding between menses in the beginning
cramping first few days
hot flashes
you should call your doctor and tell him about your problems and see if they want you to come in.
i m big on research so i would also googole side effects of the iud.
