An IUC was inserted on the 3rd while i was on my period. I've been experiencing heavy bleeding everyday since then. My period usually only lasts 4 days. I don't think it's an infection. The pms and mood swings are driving me crazy.... is all of this normal?

Heavier and prolonged menstruations are expected side effects from intra uterine contraception (IUC). You can try to stand this for a while but if bleeding become too heavy you should remove the IUC.

For a whole month? It is normal, but not fun!

I would contact the doc and make sure you aren't loosing too much blood, and probably be taking some sort of iron supplement to make up for the lost iron. It might take a while longer for the bleeding to go away. I'm guessing you have the copper iuc?
