Itching is unbearable!!!
I have also something similar, intensely itchy red hives that can appear anywhere on my body but particularly where clothes rub against my skin. I've had this occur 2 times since i have analyzed it seriously. I've consulted it with my doctor and tried everything they suggested. It wasn't until I saw a nutritional therapist that I had any success at all. After cutting out gluten and dairy things are more manageable. If you're getting a bit fed up of the nhs I strongly recommend you try something similar.

I had red itchy bumps for 5 months now. I was bitten by an insect when i went for holiday. Its like a tiny bump with clear fluid inside, i pricked them to ease the itching. Then i went swimming and noticed that the bumps gets a bit swollen like it doubled in size. It got worse a few weeks after the holiday. I went to gp and he gave me antibiotics. It works for a while but after I stop taking it startes to get bumpy again and with intense itching. Next time I went he gave me a steroid cream that helps relieved but doesn't solve the problem. I went again for the other gp and he gave me scabies treatment which I doubt ia not the case and so i still continue using the steroid cream. After 2 months of scabies treatment i went to the derma. She told me to stop using the cream as its making my skin thinner. Right now im doing tht LIGHT TREATMENT 3xweek. Some of my bumps are still itching but I no longer need to rely to steroid to stop the itching. I just put soap free lotion twice a day. Im still continuing the treatment and hope that all of my bumps would go away slowly.

Itch
Sounds familiar, My granddaughter started sleeping with me and I would sleep at the foot of the bed because could not see tv. Then I would start itching after about 4 weeks and she started sleeping down stairs on couch. I went to a skin doctor who gave me Doxycycline Hyclate tablets and Triamcinolone Acetonide Lotion. The lotion dried out my skin and do not no what the pills did. I had a ring on both my hands and thought I had ring worm which he said it was not raised so did not have ring worm. I never went back to him and started going to another skin doctor that put me on Halobetasol Propionate Ointment which was better than the Lotion because it was like a Vaseline and did not dry out the skin. But the itching was still there at nite. and in my hair. The doctor finally checked my hair and found a lice. I have bumps in my head but he never mentioned if the lice caused it.. and I also found lice in my granddaughters brush but she never itched and never told me; I was sick. Then the doctor put me on Permethrin 5% to put on the head for lice and keep on 12 to 14 hours and can also put on the body for scabies. The head lice I hope is gone as washed everything in house and she did her hair also. I sprayed the couches and chairs and mopped and put the stuff on my body and kept it on all nite and next day took shower to wash it off. My bites were on hands, arms, shoulders, legs, ankles, and shoulder blades. If I picked them they would scap and bleed. This has been going on since November of 2013 and it is now March 2014. After the doctor found one lice in my hair he never made me an appointment to come back.. I guess I do not have a doctor anymore.. and it was not my fault I caught lice, or scabies. If that is what it is.

I drive myself nuts trying to figure out what this rash could be. Have gone to dermatolgists and they don't know anything. Little clusters of an itchy rash than can appear anywhere on my body; in fact it has. Everywhere but my face I've had this itchy ass rash. I scratch it so much I break the skin, then have red scaps all over, then when they heal the little red clusters presistently come back. Takes months to go away, and then it appears again, oh, every six months or so. The first time I got it, it was all over my stomach, under boobs, and inner thighs. It was intense looking and the worse one I've had. After that, they were never quite as intense, but they are still pretty horrific. Right now I have one on my right elbow that works its way up my inner arm. Its patchy, itchy and many small clusters of red bumps, mixed with scabs from intense itching. Have had it about a month now. Like I said, I've racked my brain wondering. Lately been thinking it might be a gluten allergy? Cuz its Closest in appearence when i see gluten allergy rashes online then any other rashes ive seen. .I dunno. Doctors don't seem to help much. Gona see my ob on the 30th for my 28th week pregnancy visit. Oh, the first time I got the rash, 3 years ago, I wasn't pregnant, so mo relation there. Sick of guessing. Want a diagnosis.

This might sound weird but I use vicks vaporub on my itchy areas and I've found that really helps. I also make sure I wash with gentle and antibacterial shower gel. I get rashes on my face and I use witch hazel what really helps.

Hello, I just started getting the same things on my arms and its driving me crazy. Some of my friends think it could be some type of pox since I've never had any type of pox. But my mom is taking me to the doctor about it soon. She thinks its spreading because I scratch it. But I don't know what else to do nothing works I've tried 5 different ich creams I don't use anything but all natule sope and it had been going on for about a week. On my arms the puss bubbles are those small ones that kinda shine in the light with red swollen skin around a group of them. I don't know what else to do I can't even seem to sleep at times because of the ich. Can y'all give me any advice?

I've got this rash on my right leg too on the upper part its so weird non stop scratching. I live with cats could it be because of the cats or there fleas? Maybe its an allergic reaction? My second time putting nair on it the one you shower with. That stuff takes is right away. Then i put lotrimin on it gone for a whole month clear skin. Then comes right back. Shoot i'm flippin out now like what could it be? I don't really care about it because i believe it would go away some day but its starting to get big so i'm thinking now it ain't going away like its some type of powerful infection or decease?

I don't know if you guys found a cure for what you had, but i hope this helps you in the future. I went through the same thing, i had a rash for more than 3 months and and everyone in my family is a doctor, nobody had the answer for what was happening to me, until my grandfather ordered a fecal culture. I had Gialdiasis one of the most commun parasite in the world. This can be easily treated with Metronidazole.

- i hope this helps you

Birth control pills a cause?
I have had the same type of thing for ~2 months. I'm curious if anyone has been on birth control pills (specifically generics of Mircette). I would try going off, but have horrible cramps, so don't want to unless necessary. However, after I had to switch to Mircette generics, this began. Strangely, this also coincided with the time I injured my shin. While healing, it began to itch terribly (dermatologist said histamines could have been released by the injury), then hives appeared. From there, though, the patches of hives spread to my upper and lower arms, hips ankles, wrists, etc. After multiple trips to my PCP and dermatologist, and trying steroidal cream for one week (helped while on it, then returned and spread), and Benadryl for 3 days straight (didn't do much, if anything), I don't know what to do. Dr.'s suggested Prednisone, which I won't take, since it can provoke other problems. They also mentioned anxiety likely playing a role (probably), but I also feel the pills are the culprit. Let me know if any of you have been on them, and if anything changed if/when you went off. Just FYI, I'm also lactose intolerant, so dairy hasn't played a role.

P.S. Also slightly allergic to latex, so wonder if any of you had any thoughts on its possible contribution/if any pill inactive ingredients are related to latex and could be a cause. I notice the hives are exacerbated on areas that touch elastic--where socks or underwear come into skin contact, but unsure if this is merely because any contact with clothes worsens the rash.

I don't know if any of you have found a cause to his but I have had hives for 8 months now. I'm 17 and am going to prom in 2 months and would love for them to be gone. They are exactly like mosquito bites and appear all over my body. I've searched for bed bugs, fleas, been treated for scabies, had extensive blood work done, gotten a biopsy, gone to all free and clear detergents, soaps, etc. Been to multiple doctors, have tried at least 15 different medications. Doctors have pretty much given up except for trying to make me take 14 pills a day and at 17 I just don't think that can be good for my body so I am desperate for answers.
