Hi, i am 16 year old male with a mole on my upper back that is slightly itchy and the skin is dry. Is this anything to worry about. The mole itself looks normal, but there is a slightly hypo-pigmented patch around it followed by a darker patch. Quite small. I don't know whether i should go see a dermatologist.

As it is not possible to exclude melanoma as a diagnosis simply by "looking" at this mole, and based upon your description of its irregularly pigmented borders, I would recommend that you have a Dermatolgist or Surgeon completely excise this mole to rule-out melanoma.
