I have a mole on my neck that has become itchy. This morning, a piece of it came off. It was really scary! Implications?

When a part of a mole is detached from the rest or the mole becomes bigger, itchy, or there is redness and warmth in then surrounding skin, then it might be removed because of inflammation or malignancy.
You might want to visit your family doctor or plastic surgeon to check if any of the previously described symptoms is present. If confirmed, removing the rest of the mole and part of the surrounding tissue might be recommended.
