As per my most recent ultrasound I am 33 weeks pregnant. The doctor said the baby's head is positioned correctly and the ultrasound was OK. However, I was experiencing severe itching in my whole body from three months on so my doctor ran an SGPT test. The results showed an SGPT level of 275 which my doctor said is high and could be a problem for the baby. Please advise what my next step should be as soon as possible, as I am understandably very concerned about this situation.

high SGPT and itching
Hi Fouzia,

I think u better consult your doctor regarding Caesarian, b'cos I had the same condition during my first pregnancy and had to undergo C-section due to this. I was having SGPT as high as 141 U/L If the baby is fully grown then its better not to delay birth otherwise it may harm the baby since the high SGPT levels may be due to jaundice

My husband had high sgpt 2 years back. And I had jaundice in his late teens. His mother cured jaundice with home remedies better than meds. But for sgpt I gave him white reddish juice and strained juice of its leaves and I myself saw good results in just few weeks.

But as it is direutic I won't reccommend too much in Ur diet. Just eat it daily in small portion and make sure to eat less fatty and more good choices.
