Itching on lips of vagina

I recently started shaving my genital area couple months ago and have been experiencing a tremendous amount of itching and a few tiny bumps with pus inside. The irritation sometimes leads to burning a bit, but this only happens after shaving and when ready to go to bed. I understand that it may be from the razor but I have also recently had a UTI a few times and I was curious to know whether that had anything to do with it. And at the same time I am sexually active. I was just wondering what the cause of the itching could be?
