Hi and welcome to the forum! I am glad that I can help you.

You want to know what could be the cause of the symptoms that you experience.

Itching in the genital area may appear in cases of urinary tract infections or vulvovaginitis (infection of the vagina and vulva). During urinary tract infections additional symptoms may appear such as a frequent need to urinate, discomfort or pain during urination, pain in the lower abdomen, milky urine or pus in the urine. In cases of vulvovaginitis itching and rash may appear in the genital area, combined with vaginal discharge.

Given the data that you described, you may or may not be experiencing one of the medical conditions listed above. You may consider having a bacterial culture with an antibiogram from a urine sample to rule out or confirm urinary tract infection. You may also consider seeing a gynecologist for further diagnosis to rule out possible vulvovaginitis. Avoid scratching the skin to prevent additional inflammation and infection of the skin.

Please keep in mind that I provide medical information only. I am not able to diagnose medical conditions online. Please contact your doctor or other qualified healthcare provider such as a gynecologist for further advice and information about diagnosis and treatment options.

I am a 24 yr old female. I have been experiencing an irritating tingling sensation in my vagina when I pee. It usually starts when I pee and goes on for a few minutes after. It is not a UTI, I have been treated for a UTI twice since the sensation started about 3 months ago. I finally went to a gynaecologist who put me on 500mg of Zelitrex, but it also did not help. I have also been treated for a yeast infection, which also did not help. I am very healthy, i drink 2-3 litres of water a day. Please please help, what do you think it might be?

Hi
I\'m 16 years and I never had sex. But for the past 5 days I have been experiencing green and brown discharge. My vagina is itchy and the discharge smells fishy...
Is it an infection? What medications should I take please? I\'m really worried...

It is very likely an infection. Did you remember to take out your last tampon?

A fishy smell is an indication of a bacterial infection. It is treated with antibiotics after it is diagnosed. Please see your doctor.
