Itching and redness after shaving any part of your body is possible. The shaving removes the hair and the most superficial layer of the skin. Thus the skin might become irritated resulting in local inflammation.

The inflammation might be presented with redness and itching. The products applied on the area after the shaving might additionally contribute to the inflammation. Applying over-the-counter anti-inflammatory creams might be useful. If this does not help, or the symptoms are more intens, then you might want to visit your family doctor or a dermatologist.
