hi about 5 days ago i started to get a very sharp pain when i urinated. it was very uncomfortable. i spoke to the doctor on the phone and they suggested it was a cyst. so i got some medication for cystitis. it was a two day medication and if it got worse i had to go back to the doctor for a urine sample. it got better over the two days the pain became less so i figured i didnt need to go back. However the pain is still slightly here it comes and goes and now i have a very irritating itchy pain in the vagina and feel like i need to go to the toilet alot even though when i go theres no fluid to come out of me. Can you help explain whats wrong should i be worried?

Extremely eHealthy

it could be a UTI..drink lots of cranberry juice and you should probably go back to the doctor if it doesn't go away..usually when you feel like you have to urinate and nothing comes out thats a good sign of a UTI...have you been sexually active? if yes..have you been tested for stds?

Yes i am sexually active but i have only ever slept with my previous boyfriend last year and my current boyfriend at present and i know he doesn't have anything and we use a condom. Right now the itching has gone and i feel fine its just going to the loo its weird the itching only comes the morning after having sex but after sex i make sure i clean myself. I did find that drinking alot of fruit juice helped so il continue to do that and if the problem continues il go back to the doctor.
