Back in 2001 or therebouts I was having bad stomach pains, diarrhea, etc.. To make a long story short, I found out I had Ulcerative Colitis. But when I didn't know what these pains were, I started having what the doctor called Anxiety/Panic Attacks. I would wake up with my heart beating very fast, feeling dizzy, Weak, etc.. Doctor put me on .25mg of Xanax 3X a day. I was having attacks again, and then went on to be prescribed Celexa, 20mg once a day. I have been taking both ever since.

Within the past year I occasionally would get an experience where my arms and legs felt very tingly. I had this sensation when I first started taking the celexa, its a very weird sensation to try and explain. Then with these attacks I would feel dizzy, weak and tired. They came on only occasionally and were manageable. Even through gallbladder surgery in August of 2007, I managed to keep my anxiety at bay.

These past 2 weeks have been pretty symptomatic. On Monday morning I awoke at 4AM with a jolt. For some reason my mind kept telling me... You didn't take your pills. ( I take a Celexa and Xanax before bed) I thought, and said to myself.. Yes.. I remember taking them. But then I started getting the tingliness in my arms and legs, my heart seemed to race, I felt dizzy and weak. I was afraid to stand up and try and get to the bathroom because I felt very shaky. I sat up in bed for about 15 minutes until the sensations subsided. Then I got up and went on my computer to play a few games and try to take my mind off of it. About 5AM I went back to bed. Only to have the tingliness come back a few minutes after I was in bed. I was finally able to go back to sleep, and woke up feeling awful the rest of the day.

Each day since Monday (Today is Friday) I've felt a little out of sorts. Tuesday I didn't do much, Wednesday and Thursday I tried to keep myself busy, I did some laundry, etc.. and it sort of kept my mind off of feeling weird. If I just sit on the couch to watch TV, sometimes it feels like the room starts spinning, and I fidget to try and move around to make it stop, or I get up and walk to the kitchen or find something to do. Sometimes it feels like the floor is falling out.

Fast forward to this morning (Friday) I woke up, and felt OK. Just laid in bed for a bit, and then started to feel like my chest was heavy and I felt like I couldn't get enough air, although I was able to breathe in deep, it wasn't like I had a loss of air. I then got the arm/leg tinglies. I took my pulse and it was 60bpm. Right now being up and awake, its around 70-76 which I think is normal. Although I still have the chest tightness, weakness, and general feeling of being out of sorts.

My doctor is a behavioral medicine doctor and he tells me I need to do a relaxation session in his office. Which I cannot afford. My insurance does not cover it. When I go in, he usually just listens to my heart/lungs (Was there 2 months ago) and gives me a good bill of health and refills my Celexa and Xanax. I try to do the deep breathing and relax, but it doesn't always work. Easier said than done.

I just found this board, and thought I'd post and see what everyone thinks of my symptoms, if I need to go to the E.R. or Doctors office. When I get the full blown Tinglies, etc.. The last thing I want to do is leave the house.
