i'm on aviane (a generic version of Alesse) and i usually always start my period before i finish the first 21 pills. i've been reading up on it and it seems to me that you're not supposed to start until around the 3rd day of the last 7 pills. i was wondering if this means that the pill is not working for me. and if that's true and i haven't gotten pregnant yet doea that mean that i can't get pregnant?

If you've been taking the pills correctly then you're protected.

How long have you been on the pill and what day do you usually get your period?

It really just depends how the pill affects you. You may not react the same way to Aviane as I do, so even if I got my period on day 3 of the placebo pills, its not a bad thing if you get it on a different day. You know what I men?
